Privacy policy

Effective October 10, 2026, updated October 11, 2026.

ArrangerPilot is a repertoire organizer and MIDI controller for Yamaha arranger keyboards (the web app at app.arrangerpilot.com and the site arrangerpilot.com; mobile apps later). The service is provided by Sergiy Kostyuk (a private individual, Canada). This page explains in plain words what data we keep, why, and how to delete it. Questions: contact@websmith-shop.com.

In short

  • Without an account, everything stays on your device. Only feedback you choose to send reaches the server.
  • With an account, the server keeps your email and your library — so that it is on all your devices.
  • No ads, no third-party analytics, no trackers. Data is not sold or shared for marketing.
  • You can delete your account and all data in the app: Settings → Account → "Delete account".

Without an account

The app works entirely on your device. The library, set lists, lyrics, sheets and settings are kept in the browser or app storage on that device. Bank files (.rgt) are read on the device: names and button labels are taken from them, and the files themselves are not uploaded anywhere. Commands go to the instrument directly over the MIDI cable, without the internet.

With an account

You sign in with a code sent to your email. Once you are signed in, the server keeps:

  • your email address — to sign you in;
  • your library: songs (bank file name, title, artist, button labels and registration details from the file, keys, duration, notes, lyrics with chords, progressions), set lists, attached sheets (PDF and images), the style names you chose and the instrument's MIDI channel;
  • connected instruments: the model and its code, firmware version, app version, interface language, device and browser type (for example "Windows Chrome"), when and how many times you connected — to know which models to support next;
  • technical server logs: IP address, time and address of a request — to protect against abuse (rate limiting). They are kept for a few days.

This data is used only to sign you in, to sync your devices and to decide which instruments to support. Every user sees only their own records. We do not look at your content unless you ask us to help with a problem.

Feedback

If you send feedback from the app (Settings → Feedback), the server keeps the text, an email for a reply (if you entered one or are signed in), the instrument model, app version, language and device type. A copy is emailed to us. Feedback sent from an account is deleted together with it; other feedback on request.

Where data is kept and who helps us

  • The server is a rented virtual server in an OVHcloud data center in Canada. Connections are encrypted (HTTPS).
  • Sign-in code emails and feedback copies are sent through Brevo (France): it receives only the email address and the text of the email.
  • Database backups are made every day and kept for 7 days — to restore data after a failure.

When paid plans arrive, payment will go through the App Store, Google Play or the site's payment provider. We do not receive or store card details; this page will be updated before payments launch.

The site

The site uses no cookies and no counters. The browser only remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme.

How long we keep data and how to delete it

  • Account data is kept as long as the account exists.
  • "Delete account" in the app immediately deletes the account, all records and files from the server. They disappear from backups within 7 days. The library on your device stays.
  • Signing out removes the library from the device; it stays on the server until you come back.

Your rights

At any time you can:

  • get a copy of your data — Settings → Data → "Backup" (one file with the whole library);
  • correct your data — right in the app;
  • delete your data — "Delete account" in the app, or by email;
  • ask a question or file a complaint — contact@websmith-shop.com. You also have the right to contact the data protection authority of your country.

These rights apply wherever you live (including the GDPR in the EU and Canadian privacy laws).

Children

The service is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date. We will give notice in advance of significant changes.
